Ka’s goal is to create Hmong handicrafts as a main occupation for the Hmong community, including the new generation. This includes hemp planting, hemp weaving, candle writing, indigo dyeing, and embroidery using various techniques, all from the wisdom of the people in her Hmong community. Ka dreams of seeing a self-reliant and sustainable community. She believes that Hmong handicrafts are very valuable and can generate good income for the people in the community, including all Hmong women so they can play key a role in Hmong handicraft industry. “All this will create sustainability for their family.”
